Take your healthy fish out and change the water completely. also clean out your filter - it may have stuff in that it is circulating back into the tank. When the tank is empty take out your gravel and clean this (boiling it should do it) and clean the inside of the tank properly making sure that all soap is washed out before you put water and fish back in.

You probably have some kind of bateria or chemical in the water that may have caused or have been caused by the death of your other fish. Cleaning is the best solution!

It depends how often they break! Ours has broken three times in the last 9 or so months (and is currently broken) but since I rent, our Landlord has payed for it all. By the look on her face, I don't think it's cheap.

Wikipedia-quoting cheater!

I grew up in Sussex and whilst all of the details are technically correct it misses out the many long summer evenings organised by local schools' PTAs, barbequeues, morris dancing and so on.

Stoolball may be a simple game of bat and ball but the institutions it is associated are a world away from global summarising entities such as wiki. Stoolball represents a traditional game played in parts of the world that are not fully homogenised by the economic, political and social hegemonies that rule much of the southeast.

viva the Green Man!

If it is anything like a hair dryer I suggest that you don't tough the plug immediatley after it has come out of the wall...the spinning motor or something made my old hair dryer build up capacitance and then release it into me with a nasty electric shock when I accidently touched the plug. Nasty stuff.

There are also the usual safty things of not leaving it on, using it in a dry environment, making sure the fuse is of the right impedence, etc
