Get a Mac, I've never had a Blue Screen, reboot or crash.

...unless you're into gaming, then you'll have to wait a while before more gaming companies support Macs. Otherwise Macs are superior in my opinion.

I don't think the jump was from room-sized computers straight to the laptop. There was at least a decade of your average desktop PC between that. It was an evolutionary invention because technology slowly got better at putting more stuff into less space.

If you are suspended from school it usually means you aren't allowed to go to school for a few days so you have time to think about whatever it is you did that got you suspended =p

Text can be in many, many, many different formats. It's actually relatively easy to create a new file extension that works just like a plain text file (.txt)

And it depends on what you mean exactly with "formats in which text may be presents". An HTML file (.htm or .html) is basically just text too, but has a different purpose. The only real difference between a plain text file and a webpage file is its extension, which is to allow the system to react accordingly when either file type is opened (.txt will open in a basic text editor by default, and .html in your web browser). That's basically the only reason why file extensions exist.
