Following Kents BBC 50 places to see which were all abroad, would it be very easy to compile a list of 50 places in the UK to visit/see?

asked in places, uk

Russel.West answers:

I would hope one of those places be in Kent - we all too often forget what a beautiful country we live in - I live in Surrey with the very lovely North downs and the Waverley valley, as well as Leith Hill and The Mole Valley to name but a few good places...

loch ness & loch lomond
BUNNY WORLD! (aka the black isle wildlife park)
glenfiddich distillery (hold your nose) for the booze and artists in residence program
any of the other distilleries - do a malt whisky tour, just follow the signs!)
baxters of speyside (though they phased out factory tours a couple of years back, the visitor's shop is still good and the pancakes are HUMONGOUS)
glasgow for the art galleries (and shops)
dundee has the "discovery", big-assed boat that looked purty from the outside (also, shops)
edinburgh has that big old castle (and shops)

um...

ok, that's 8 or 9, more if you count each of the distilleries.

Places on my list:

Eden Project
Isle of Wight Needles
New Forest
St Davids, in Wales
Giant's Causeway (if you include Rep. Ire)
Ambleside, in the Lake District
Matlock, Peak District
Land's End
John O'Groats
Ramsgate (another corner of the UK)
Kearvaig (the last "corner")
Various cultural places in London
Edinburgh Castle
North Coast of Scotland
Porlock
Ben Nevis

not sure if there's much to see in N. Ireland - not discounting it, I just don't know
