What DNA restriction enzyme is used to isolate the human insulin production gene?
Am looking for the name of the enzyme and if possible what its recognition site is
asked in biology, genetics, insulin

imfeduptoo answers:

My biochemistry days are long over but I think it may be HincII or maybe BamHI.
There are a couple of links here that may help you:

http://www.promega.com/catalog/catalogproducts.aspx?categoryname=productleaf_540

You'll find the name of the recognition site of HincII in this one:
http://homepages.strath.ac.uk/~dfs99109/BB211/RecombDNAtechlect1.html

And for BamHI, here:
