AS-Level Chemistry question related to moles
how do i find the percentage, by mass, of Na2CO3 in Na2CO3.10H20, hydrated sodium carbonate.?????
thanks for your help
asked in science, chemistry

sexycellist answers:

moles = mass/mr

if the question is asking for a percentage is it something to do with the empirical formula?

i can't work it out for you because i struggle enough with my own AS level chemistry work.

good luck

Messerwisser answers:

Find out the molecule mass number for a: Na2CO3 and b: 10 H2O
Then the answer is [a/(a+b)]*100 %
