How much airtime has the BBC devoted to the US elections, and how does this compare to airtime devoted to UK elections?
Obviously, the US election takes far longer than our comparatively simple one-day vote, but I'd estimate that, over the last three months, US politics has probably had more air time on the mainstream BBC channels (TV and radio combined) (so excluding BBC Parliament 24 and Radio 4 Longwave, which I doubt anyone listens to) than British politics. Is this acceptable?
