have football fans now gone to far with this act

asked in football, fans

P-Kasso answers:

This is sick. 100% warped.

I know that football is a tribal warfare substitute, legalised gang warfare etc...but what will be next?

Only football fans seem to react so savagely. Cricket crowds just nod off. Rugby fans laugh and meet up in the pub afterwards.

But this soccer fan reaction is all in the name of sport - shame there is so little sportsmanship among some small corners of the terraces.

I can only presume that the people who did this have tunnel vision.

Bear in mind, too, that this WAS an act by a very tiny minority. Tiny but really worrying.

Vast numbers of fans every week enjoy the rivalry but also enjoy the game and then get on with their real life. Unlike some poor sad souls who probably thought they were being smart. Really bright, huh?

That has to be one of the sickest things that so called footbal fans have come up with - seems to me like the action of mere thugs not people who enjoy watching and supporting football.

seacommander answers:

What more would you expect from football fans. I think it's time that legislation was introduced to compel football clubs to play their matches in the absence of an audience. I mean to say - football is a job like any other job so why do the teams need to have crowds of people watching them going about their everyday occupation!!?

wumpus answers:

How could you think otherwise?

Personally I think football goes to far in just about everything.

Personally, I think that stabbing/ glassing/ kicking in the opposing tribe is worse, but then again, I'm not a sheep.
